Addicts do like to substitute when they can use their drug of choice…
How about rowing?

That is a good suggestion! So far, the closest exercise in intensity I’ve found is biking, specifically, spin class, but nothing is as convenient as throwing on a pair of sneakers and heading out the door any time of day =)
